10+ People Who Clearly Have Never Heard The Phrase ‘Safety First’

One of the most important things you should do when you’re at work is to follow safety rules. It’s baffling to me that there are so many people that do not. I mean, why risk it? I just don’t get it.

You’re not only risking your own life, but you could also endanger others. Please, don’t follow in these people’s footsteps and don’t do this at work.

1. This Genius At Work

Reddit | TeepenTeepen

There’s nothing like huffing paint fumes over a 30-foot fall to give you that boost for the day. Let’s not forget that and the fact that he’s not even wearing a harness or anything of that shape or form here.

2. This Emergency Exit

Reddit | Bansaiii

If by “exit” they mean it doesn’t exist, then they accomplished that alright. Apparently, this office found out about this when they tried to use it during a recent fire alarm. Oh, that doesn’t sound good at all.

3. This LCD Screen Location

Reddit | sarge-m

Is this not rather a peculiar location to install that LCD screen, huh? I mean, can you imagine if it were to fall? It would most likely fall onto one of these hard-working ladies, no? That’s not cool.

4. This Manmade Basket

Reddit | jitaroo

Who needs an actual safety harness when you have pallets? So these guys are wearing face masks, but they can’t get the proper equipment to transport themselves properly? Hmm, what kind of place of work is this?

5. This Fire Escape Route

Reddit | ghatroad

OMG, what am I even looking at here? Is this a fire escape route? Is it meant for people or cats because I can’t see any human being able to use this. Is that a joke or something like that?

6. This Roofing Job

Reddit | bassaleh

Shouldn’t safety be number one, not getting the job done fast? I believe it’s the former, but somebody should remind those guys about that. I don’t think they quite get the concept of it yet.

7. This Tree Situation

Reddit | silver_dollarz

These ladders are defying all the laws of physics. As it turns out, this guy was the property owner, and he insisted on doing this job himself instead of hiring a professional. Hmm, good going, man.

8. This Lawnmower-Crane Hybrid

Reddit | Natty_Guard

What the heck is going on here? This is the kind of landscaping work I have never seen before. I’ve got to give them props for coming up with something as unique as this, but, is it safe? I don’t think so.

9. This Safety Harness

Reddit | abiskue

I can’t imagine what would happen if something went wrong here. I just can’t. Nobody wants to see that. Can someone get this person a proper safety harness ASAP?

10. This Teamwork

Reddit | amberb

I’m all for teamwork, don’t get me wrong. I’m just trying to get my head wrapped around this scenario. What if one of them has to go to use the toilet? How is this teamwork going to work then?

11. This Complete Oxymoron

Reddit | floridamitch

I’m sorry, but does this guy not know how to read or what? Doesn’t it say “Propane” on these tanks? So does that mean you can weld around them like that? I don’t think so. Come on!

12. This Irony

Reddit | jaykirsch

Wow, this is quite an irony. Am I right? I guess this guy didn’t realize what the sign he was hanging up was all about. Or, maybe he was just in a hurry to complete that.

13. This Terrible Example Of Using A Drill

Reddit | zoalcoalt

Oh my, I don’t think I’ve seen anyone as dumb as this guy. How in the world did he think it would be a good idea to drill something like that? I mean, I’m trying to understand this kind of thinking here.

Wow, just when I thought things couldn’t get more dangerous on the job, they just did.

What were these folks even thinking? Or what were they not thinking? Is this as baffling to you as it is to me? I can’t get over it.
